The teamSite Visits / Visitors

The classroom is a wonderful place to learn, but there's nothing like getting out and about to see what a landfill site looks and smells like! With that in mind, we offer Key Stage 2 pupils and upwards, a site visit to the Cory Landfill Site at Wingmoor. We combine this with a tour around the Gloucestershire County Council Household Recycling Centre which is adjacent.

School/Youth Group visits
from the Waste Education Officer

The Waste Education Officer is available to visit all pre-schools, schools and youth groups within Gloucestershire, free of charge. The visit can be an assembly, classroom talk and or any of the lesson plans we have listed. Our workshops normally last about an hour and a half with most sessions beginning with an introductory talk about waste and the 3Rs (reducing, reusing and recycling). The intended age range is indicated on the downloadable lesson plans, but can be adapted to meet the needs of your group.
