PrinterGet involved this Recycle Week and our schools could win £1000 worth of garden centre vouchers!

This year’s Recycle Week (21-27 June) is focusing on waste electricals. Three out of four people have broken, old or unwanted electrical items lying around doing nothing and we want your school to help us make them useful again. Many of those seemingly useless items contain important plastics and metals which can be recycled and re-used to make new stuff. Just one toaster for example can provide enough steel to make 25 new cans.

How to get involved
We’d like your school’s help to gather recycling pledges from your local community prior to Recycle Week. Every time someone recycles a small electrical item at a participating recycling point during Recycle Week they will receive a token with a unique code. These tokens can be awarded to your school online by the recycler (though some people may want to bring their tokens to you to register on their behalf). Remember the more tokens your school receives, the more chances of winning a regional or national prize of vouchers worth £500 or £1,000 respectively. So be sure to get as many people involved as you can to help.

The closing date for registering your school is May 21st.
